Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
Provide essential speech and language support to students in a K-12 school setting, serving full-time with a focus on helping each child reach their communication potential. This contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a school community from December 1 through May 22.
Location: Homer, LA
Schedule: Full-time, onsite
Duration: Contract, current school year
Caseload: Full-time at a high school
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech and language assessments to identify students needs
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
- Monitor and document student outcomes and adjust therapy methods as needed
- Participate in meetings and provide professional recommendations
Preferred Qualifications:
- Valid SLP certification with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Experience working within school-based speech-language programs
- SLP licensure in Louisiana or willingness to obtain it and travel as necessary
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with students and school staff
- Ability to manage a full caseload and maintain detailed records
